Wolseley

Wolseley was a British car manufacturer that went from being a luxury car maker and Britain's largest car company to eventually being absorbed into the British Leyland group, with the marque ceasing to exist in 1975. Founded in 1901, the company was known for its upmarket and respectable vehicles until its bankruptcy in 1927 led to its acquisition by William Morris. Later, Wolseley became a brand for badge-engineered Morris and Austin cars within larger conglomerates.
